TVWriter™ Online TV and Film Writing Workshop

Don’t worry. You don’t have to click because you’re already here. Read on!

Need to know the basics of TV and film writing from start to finish – Concept to final draft? Pitching? Story structure? Teleplay and screenplay format? The TVWriter™ Online TV and Film Writing Workshop is the place to learn how its done.

Writing the script for your dream TV, film, internet, you-name-it project? This is the place for ongoing notes and tips from an acknowledged master.

Ready to dive into writing a spec episode of a current TV or internet series to demonstrate your chops or entertain fellow fans? The maestro here is here to help you all along the way.

The TVWriter™ Online TV and Film Writing Workshop consists of 4 weekly meetings in our Audio-Video-Text Chat Room. (No camera or mic? Don’t worry. You can just, you know, type.)

Depending on your needs, TVWriter™’s “Beloved Leader” Larry Brody can take you through the basics with short writing assignments week by week or guide and encourage you with the same kind of comments and advice he has given hundreds of writers as the writer-producer of some of your favorite TV shows as you dive into your pet writing project. (And, yes, he’s ready to do both and see things through to the end!)

The Online Workshop meets one night a week (usually on a Wednesday or Thursday). The meetings start at 6:00 PM Pacific/8:00 PM Central/9:00 PM Eastern time and last about an hour and a half. To make sure you have all the time and guidance you need, the Online Workshop is continuously recycling, with 4 weeks on, 1 week off, then 4 on again, ad infinitum – except for the usual unavoidable disasters and of course Christmas Vacation.

The next TVWriter™ Online Workshop starts Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017. The price? A mere $140, less than that of most in-person local workshops. Scholarships/discounts are available.

NOTE: For those who haven’t already workshopped with Larry Brody, participation must be approved by him. Enrollment is limited to 5 students, which means we run out of room quickly – so to confirm your place – or ask about a scholarship – E-MAIL LB NOW.

NOTE FOR NEW TV WRITERS:  TVWriter™ has found that it takes 8 weeks of the Online Workshop for most new TV writers to get up to speed on teleplay and screenplay fundamentals. For that reason, we recommend that new writers plan on taking two full sessions of the Online Workshop on a pay-as-you-go basis to get the most benefit. Most of our workshoppers stick around for much longer than that that. Many current students have been coming literally for years!
