And talk about close! The separation between 1st and 3rd Place in the Sitcom Category was 0.05 points. The separation between 1st and 3rd Place in the Action/Drama/Dramedy Category was 0.30 points. And the separation between 1st and 3rd Place in the TV Movie/Screenplay?Special Category was 0.55 points.

In other words, we’re happy as hell to report that our Winners all were dead on. Why in the world aren’t all of you staffed on series right now? And why in the hell aren’t Meredith Bagby, Jorge Perez, and Michael Miller already running shows?

In the next few days LB will be contacting all the Spec Scriptacular Winners to tell you how to claim your prizes, and in ten days or so he’ll post his personal observations about the results and what they mean for entrants, the contest itself, and the Industry as a whole.

All entrants should start receiving your free Feedback by mid-March, but please remember that the operative phrase here is “start receiving” because of the volume of entries. Please give us a few weeks before emailing TVWriter™ in panic because your Feedback hasn’t arrived yet, okay?

Also on the timetable front, we’d like to remind you that the 2015 People’s Pilot will be opening for entries in less than a week. The exact date is February 1st, and if you’d like to receive a substantial discount on your entry fee – 30% – February would be a very good time to send in that fee. You can always finish and polish and upload your People’s Pilot script any time after that till the Dread Deadline date.

NOTE ABOUT THE PP DEADLINE: Normally, it would be June 1st. But just between us, there are big changes afoot to make the People’s Pilot better than ever, including a category change or two and an extended deadline. We have some great things in mind, so stay tuned!)

Congratulations to all the Winners for their outstanding work and to everybody who entered for coming so very, very close. Your friends here at TVWriter™ want you to know that you’re the best!
