Read ‘n’ learn, kids. Read ‘n’ learn:
Set against the sexy and glamorous golden age of Formula 1 racing, RUSH portrays the exhilarating true story of two of the greatest rivals the world has ever witnessed—handsome English playboy James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and his methodical, brilliant opponent, Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl). Taking us into their personal lives on and off the track, RUSH follows the two drivers as they push themselves to the breaking point of physical and psychological endurance, where there is no shortcut to victory and no margin for error. If you make one mistake, you die.
This synopsis is part of the package for RUSH, Imagin Entertainment’s new car racing, uh, flick. We don’t know who wrote it, but we sure wish we did because it’s filled with the very best in 21st Century buzzwords, our favorite being “exhilarating.” Awesome, no? Unknown Ghost Writer slash Publicist, you’re our new hero. Tell your bosses to give you a raise. Director Ron Howard and producer Brian Grazer can afford to reach a little deeper into their pockets, that’s for sure.
Oh, and here’s a trailer – which, btw, is pure 1950s and duller than Ron Howard’s hat. Which is all the more reason to shower the synopsis writer with $$$$$.
